OK, so after a fantastic wedding at the weekend, in which I maybe had a little too much to drink, I couldn't find the zips quick enough and and was a little sick in the tent.

It is all cleaned up but there is still a very slight odour....any ideas on the best way to remove the smell? I have currently removed the bedroom tent and washed with soapy water and hung it up on the line.

i've put mine in a gentle cycle in the washing machine, i have got a large capacity drum and wasn't too bothered if it got a bit battered!

using a milton solution should remove any odours and residue.

Doing ours today now you mention it, in the bath with Soap Flakes, it's too big (4 Berth) to go in the washing machine and has a thickish rubber base as it's an old one.

Going to get it on the line once it's done and hose it down.

The tent is used exclusively for Leeds Festival and we always have a plastic bag in the inner tent....just in case....

Thanks for the tips...will try washing in the bath I think as is fairly large from an Icarus 500.

Thankfully I have a very understanding wife...just feel bad as the kids had gone back to the grandparents early evening but my wife ended up looking after me instead

It will be absolutely fine on a cool wash in the machine. Use non bio and don't use fabric conditioner. Hang it on the line and it will be dry in no time at all. I do mine like this one a year to freshen them up!

All done now....looks a lot better and smells fresh.





It dried in about half an hour in this heat, we were going to throw it over the line but used the tent frame instead as the tent was put away for today.
