Ok. What to do?
I live opposite a Go Outdoors store so for the sake of my bank balance, relationship, space in my home, car and shed I either need to move house or get myself banned from the store?
Surely I can't be the only one who can't stop picking up bits and bobs that I might need/use(in some made up in my head circumstance!) or just popping in to see what's new and have another look at the tents that I plan to buy when I have won the lottery or sold the kids
Listen here. People post pics on here of wonderful landscapes, breathtaking scenery, glorious sunsets and wishing they lived nearby. Then you come on here with a campers perfect view, a great big building full of tents and equipment. My God don't you realize how lucky you are
Glad I am not alone.......been camping now for 3 years now and had 5 tents, 4 trailers and god knows how much accessories.......it's bloody ridiculous, can somebody direct me to my nearest camping anonymous club...???

The buying has stopped for me until something breaks or wears out.
Being an engineer, my kitchen tent is where all of the serious gadgets go. Whilst pitching it, people look on expecting a loo; however, when they see the amount of kit (3-way fridge, alkylate petrol stoves and 500 candle-power paraffin lamp inter alia) going in their necks start straining.
I love to be nosey: there is nothing better than watching other campers unpack their kit whilst watching on with a cold beer/wine in hand.

Too right!! That's how we ended up with a trailer tent this year!

McTavish....Save money on a house move...Buy a set of horse blinkers!!!!!!
Next time you are tempted by something in GO....Don the horse blinkers at the door....Go straight to the item you wish to purchase...Pick it up and head for the tills looking neither left nor right...and after paying leave asap...without looking back....
Works for me(sometimes....)
You will get some strange looks and comments at first but these will die away after a while....Just think of the money you will be saving...And you wont give a toss how you look....After a while(A Looooong While..... )
