Thanks for your replies. Arsenaldes I believe you are right, I have sealed in some dirt, leaving streaky lines! However, this is a new tent and I have made the wrong assumption it was clean, says an annoyed, should know better plonker!! (Take note anyone about to Fabsil or Nikwax) you may also wonder why iam doing a new tent ? because we are going somewhere very hot and previous tents have faded, on the plus side! after hosing down it is now like pouring water onto glass, with no leaks inside, all the needle holes on the seams must be well and truly sealed. Thank you to Pitchmaster, your advice is very informative and sounds common sense. As for the Zebra note, the wife is now worried we might get attacked by a lion Ha! Ha! As for Grangers they did not reply to my email, and their answerphone allows for a small message only, and yet again no reply!! Dont worry Grangers I admit liability, I just wanted your help, sounds like you should employ Pitchmaster. Thank goodness for the Campsite forum and its wealth of user knowledge.
