Back after two nights instead of four. Next time I won't trust the MIL when she assures me that there's nothing wrong with something when they give it to us.
I'd reproofed the fabric of the tent, but the seams where knackered so we woke up to a tent like a sieve this morning and had to abandon camp.   The tent went in the tip on the way home ......
Now we have conundrum, we don't have a decent size tent for a week away sooooo either get a bigger tent or bite the bullet and go for a trailer tent

How dissapointing! Can't help you with bigger tent or trailer tent, guess I would write down a "for" and "against" list and see if that helps. Hope you have a more enjoyable holiday next time

Oh dear, sorry to hear that you had to cut short your trip.    Good luck with deciding whether to get a bigger tent or a trailer tent, personally if I had the money I'd go for a trailer tent.

Did you not try sealing the seams with seam sealer
