I now REALLY want an inflatable stone lion! My mum has a real stone lion that she bought after my dad died, and she calls it Brian after him. Brian the Lion. If we had an inflatable Brian, my dad could go camping again! LOL

But to the OP, you need to tell your OH you are both just following in the tradition of William Morris "have nothing in your house that you do not know to be useful or believe to be beautiful"

He can do the useful stuff, you do the beautiful stuff!

I don't do tent pimping as a rule, a couple of citronella candles in spare jam jars or tins is my limit. But I was very taken with the crocheted cactus and if I ever get a camper van I'm definitely going to make a cactus for it, trust me. ;)

Inflatable light up palm trees!

And one of those pink soda fountains you used to get in 1960s cafes, well, we did at the Top Hat in Dover and it looked to my 5 year old self, to be the height of glamour.

I think every tent should have one.

Oh, and I remember someone bringing their parrot along, it travelled in a small cage and then they erected a huge dog cage for it in the awning.
