My boys (8&9) have never really seen the point of sleep however take them camping and they sleep like babies! In fact last trip the youngest asked to go to bed!!!!! and it was only 7:30!
I wish we could live in a tent!

I have an autistic daughter that is a nightmare getting to sleep and stopping asleep at home but always sleeps soundly when we are camping, plus she is better behaved whilst camping generally as well. Have often said I want to live in a tent because of this

Spoof news website The Daily Mash has published it's own irreverent take on the body clock story. It's quite funny (in a Daily Mash sort of way) although perhaps less so for people who take camping seriously.
before our camping trip in june, I struggled to sleep without the tv on, something I have done from a very early age.
on our first night at home after returning we got into bed and i just could not sleep, i was tossing and turning and eventually asked OH to turn the tv OFF! within 5 minutes I was asleep and it hasn't been back on since.
i look forward to mornings the most whilst camping, waking up early listening to the birds singing and enjoying an whole hour of peace before the world awakes
