Hi
Has anyone had any experience of Black's customer services? My recent experience has been less than positive. They are sole agents for Eurohike yet are unable to supply a replacement pole for a Eurohike tent!
I rang Blacks a couple of weeks ago about returning a Coleman airbed under a 2 year guarantee. On the phone they said it would have to be taken away & tested, it quite put me off to be honest. Went in the store the following week & they just swapped it lol.
we had a horrendously stressful experience with Millets recently. Tried to return a tent I felt was poor quality and arrived extremely poorly packaged resulting in a ripped tent bag. They failed to collect 4 times in a row making lame excuses and blaming the courier (they use my hermes). After numerous phone calls and emails my husband spoke to someone high up at JD Sports and things got sorted. We got a full refund, they let us keep the tent (think it was too much hassle for them to get it collected) and sent us £25 in vouchers. Sold tent on ebay for half what I paid and buyer was very happy with it. The customer service staff are a joke, they are not allowed to put you through to a manager and actually terminated a call with my husband twice as they said he had been on the phone too long!!!!
Black and Millets have the same customer services and after our experience I would never buy from them online again and would not recommend them to anyone.
Hope you get sorted very soon. If possible I would advise anyone who does buy from them and the goods are faulty return them through a store or be prepared for a battle to get anyway with the call centre.
I honestly think their days are numbered and it will be their own doing as they are completely useless as an online business.

JD Sports have recently taken over both Blacks and Millets. You may get more joy by contacting customer services at their Bury HQ. Hope this helps.
Wow, I didn't know that nugget of info. I knew Millets had gone to Blacks, but not that JD had started to monopolise the high street. Thanks for that.

We bought a tent from Millets about 7 years ago. A pole snapped on first use. I contacted them by email to request a new pole. They said they didn't have one and the tent was end of line so would I like to return it. Having trialed it in the garden we discovered it didn't have a sewn in ground sheet which we wanted so we let them arrange collection. Everything went smoothly. Semms customer service is a bit hit and miss.
