What is GO's policy - seen something cheaper elsewhere and it includes free post and packaging. I know they will honour the 10% but how do GO honour the free p & p?
One other question, GO have a questionnaire but are we better to phone?

When I used their scheme p and p was not taken into account, just the cost of the item which also has to be in stock at the company they are price matching. This was 2 years ago though so may have changed.
If the competitor’s price includes P&P or free P&P they will honour this price if ordered on line. Top tip always tell them you can collect from the competitors store (visiting relatives or a relative will collect it for you or something along those lines!) they will waive the any delivery charges if ordered on line or collected in store
The best method is to phone and request a price match. If you are successful ask them to email confirmation of the price match to you. Once you have it, it’s valid for seven days and you can either use in store (just take a copy of the email) or on line. Just call up and place the order quoting that you have a price match via email…
Remember price matches are valid for seven days after purchase. If you do notice the price drop call them and they will refund the difference.
Examples
If the price is £100 + £10 carriage and you get a successful PM you will get it for £110 x10% (-£11) £99
If the price including carriage is £100 you will get it for £100 x 10% (£10) £90
** As mentioned always say you can collect from the competitors store… **
We just do it over the phone, and they send the item out for free

I used it today on a Coleman instant tourer 4 tent. Go's price £139.99 Amazon's price £120.00. Go honoured the price plus 10%, so i got the instant tourer for £108. I was well chuffed as it was the 1st time i have ever used the price match.

OH bit the bullet and phoned. Yes they did price match - 10% but said they didn't offer free p & p.
Mcguire - if you're right there was no p & p so in theory cannot take 10% away - so in theory free p & p?! You'd never guess what it was for - yup got the poles - now got the tarp!! So I can now join in the fun of how to erect a tarp - mind you I've already learned how to do a prussick knot - was a girl guide you know - easy peasy!
OH couldn't get them to say and admit to free p & p - kept saying they don't do it - but we only paid for the item (taken out of our account) and no p & p.
Anway, thanks again for the advice - can always rely on fellow campers on this site - first time we've used the GO pm - great!

If the competitor website is a fully inclusive price including P&P, go will price match this and knock off 10%.... Whatever that price is they will ship at that price.
If the competitor price is x + P&P go will match the full price of both the item and the shipping cost. The trick here is to say you can collect from the competitor store...go should then reduce their price to just the item cost saving you the carriage charge ...
Have I made myself any clearer (probably not..)...?
From Go Outdoors Website:
Prices must be inclusive of VAT and delivery charges where applicable.
The other Cashback site I use is Quidco...if you reserve and collect from store you may get an additional 4%. I've personally never tried this although I am a Quidco member and have received cash back from other retailers over the years...around £500. You just need to remember to visit quidco before you place an order on line, now they have added the facility to grt Cashback in stores as well via nominating a payment or credit card.
If you already know of this I appologise for repeating myself....
