We are at High Yedmandale Farm near Scarborough. The site is very nice, lots of families here but loads of space. We are in a corner next to the tap and EHU. Setting up took a while but all went well and I spent plenty of time guying up. A late tea is cooking and all is well. Pics to follow.

First night went pretty well apart from some noisy sods shouting and laughing loudly well after 11pm. My kids really struggled to get to sleep with all the noise. My Wife had pre-prepared a lovely chicken, onion, pepper and tomato pasta dish that just needed reheating for tea. We were lovely and toasty in bed as we had one double sleeping bag that fits us both in, a hot water bottle and the other double bag on top.
We are off to Whitby later after a nice cooked breakfast. I'm struggling to get pictures on as me phone is going a bit slow. Do you have to upload them to Photobucket first?
It always takes a coup[le of nights to settle in especially for the young ones, How long are you away for looks like you have hit it right for some decent weather.
We are here for three nights (mon, tue, wed) but if the kids settle ok we can have Thursday night as well. I think the kids were a bit over tired/excited but my little lad is on the autism spectrum and struggles with changes and is sensitive to excess noise a little.
We're doing ok for the first time out though. Breakfast shortly!
I know naff all about autism, in all honesty, but could you consider ear plugs for him? Nice and soft, so don't cause discomfort. I'm sure if it's approached in the "right way", he might be happy to give them a try, at least? Especially if mummy & daddy use them too, so he feels "grown up"!
Just a thought.
Either way, hope you have a great time. Lovely part of the world up there... and stop faffing about, and sort those pics out!! :-)
Take photos on your phone to remind him next time what you will be doing. Tent, his bedroom etc
Makes it easier for the next time.
Ear defenders, ear plugs, ipod music or divd to help with sound.
Hope you have a good time.

John & Claire
I tried various procedures before our holiday. Topic here.
To save space, I left the laptop at home, and took the tablet. As it happens I ended up just using the phone. Saved blue-toothing over. I used the Photobucket app, seemed to be better than the full size or mobile versions.
The other option if you've already uploaded them elsewhere, say to Facebook for example, is to right click on them, choose "Copy image URL" and paste that into the image button above the reply box.

Before this thread goes too far in the wrong direction can I just say have a great trip John and Claire and look forward to the match report on your return...
Whitby was a bit rubbish to be honest. It took us an hour to get parked, eventually getting parked up by the Abbey. Whitby town was absolutely rammed and people were just walking into each other. The lad went into sensory overload mode after about 2 hours, so we got back into the car and went to our favourite seaside town of Filey. Parked for free in about 5 minutes, a steady stroll down the front to Coble Landing fish and chip shop, got a bench on the Brigg and sat in the sunshine like the Royal Family. Perfick!
T'internet is a bit rubbish and I'm low on data allowance, so I'm struggling with the photos. I'll give it another bash soon.
Whitby in the school holidays? Early start required, always. Glad Filey was better. Years since I've been. Probably nearly 60! We used to have our trip out from primary school to Filey.
Johnny, I was assuming the site had wi-fi, so you'd be using that. Didn't realise you were on your own data.
