Not entirely sure what you expect on a Bank holiday weekend at the start of the last week of the school holidays. I would expect kids on a campsite in the school holidays
Totally agree, what I don't expect is kids running round my tent at 10.30pm!

We too are at home
This week haven £44 per night week beginning 2nd Sept £16...
DH went down to pay for our gazebo, said £2 per night on website, when he got there it was £5 per night. I rang them from the pitch only to be told it was in the terms and conditions that the price could change. I don't mind paying for the gazebo but when awnings were only £3 per night, many with sewn in groundsheets, doing more damage to the pitch than the four legs of a gazebo I do think it is wrong, and would put us off going back. Before anyone says about the dangers of gazebos, we always peg them down and guy them when it gets windy.

I had to stop children running round our tent last night. Their parents will be the first to complain when they hurt themselves tripping over the guy ropes. Don't get me wrong I love to see the children playing but they need to respect other people's pitches. By far the worst thing last night though was two groups of adults drinking and shouting until 4am. Had a word with the site manager this morning. Lets hope we get some sleep tonight!!

This was us on Thursday and Friday this week and High Grunden near Pickering - its a hard life. Kids had loads of space to play without annoying anyone (there were other campers there earlier in the week, honest)

Though it was beginning to fill up by Friday afternoon for the BH weekend, with a group of 6 tents moving into the bottom part of the field.

Come up to Scotland next bank holiday. We have completely different holidays so schools are well back in swing and the sites are back to normal. We had the entire beach to ourselves today in sunny Girvan and the site we're at is rather quiet. It's to be sunny again tomorrow so hoping more more quiet beaches tomorrow.
