What a despicable thing for your friend to do. I hope by now she has given you the money to get a new tent, if not then make sure you get it soon and no excuses! Good job she's not my friend, she would definitely be 'ex' by now!

Faye, it should be the last time you lend ANYTHING out not just camping gear.
For some its hard to say NO, but once you have said it, it becomes very easy to say it again and again in future.

depending where you're based try Go outdoors join the store costs about a fiver ,a little outlay at the beginning can save you n quite alot they have tents available using the card saving anything upto 200 quid ,
i borrowed my sisters card and got a outwell xl5 for 100 quid ,without the card 400 quid so its worth having a look

Just as bad as the tent damage is the complete pack of lies surrounding what has happened.

This 'friend' hasn't just done this done this on impulse, they've spent time thinking about and creating an entire back story with places that don't exist to deceive you.
If the tent was undamaged on their return would they have told you the truth? No, you would have heard a boat load of more lies about where they went and what they did while staying at this fictional campsite.

You can't believe a word this person says ever again.

No Tidburyboy, i'm still here just my laptop needed some work doing so i couldn't get online for a day or so. And Easyt, sorry i snapped your head off, i was just annoyed and misinterpreted what you we're saying probably because i was angry. I spoke to Ashley's mum yesterday and she has told me pick out what tent i want and they will pay for it, so it has been agreed now that i will wait for the winter sales as i only want a 3season tent as i don't go camping in the winter. So a summer tent should do the job

Yes dawnmidlands that it would be exact replica of tent if was forest green, can't remember what color the piping was now it was a bit faded anyway.

OMG What really worries me is if someone had been inside any of the tents perhaps even sleeping off a hangover, and difficult to rouse when they were set on fire.

Words fail me at the lack of thought for safety of others by the perpetrators.
