On a site we were on recently,a family were on a pitch just behind us and played music quietly while they chatted. The level wasn't loud enough to disturb us, in fact they were a nice group. Two days in a couple of tents set up next to them and within 30mins of setting up had asked the family to turn down their music, stating they like to come camping to get away from all the electrics etc. The family politely said they'd turn it down but would still be playing it and the newbies were fine. Around 7pm we heard music fairly loud and thought the newbies wouldn't be happy, it turned out that the newbies, despite not liking music being played through electronics were more than happy to play acoustic guitars, bongos and sing at a volume 4 times as loud as the family were playing previously. They were soon told by a number of people that if they didn't turn things down they'd be wearing their instruments.
