Hi Damian,

We used to have a double aerobed and it developed a leak.   We then had a dual chamber aerobed which developed a leak on one side!   We then had problems with the pumps on a couple of others and ended up on a Hi Gear flocked as a temporary measure a few years ago.   Well, this summer OH got fed up with having to get down and blow it up every night and after a few bad nights sleep, on our second trip, stropped off and came back with a double Vango 7.5cm SIM.   Well, a little discussion then followed about the lack of discussion , but I take everything back.   It was his best purchase ever, but....don't be under the illusion that it will take up less space than the airbed, they are actually quite hard to deflate back to the shop bought state (well we haven't managed it yet!!), but they are definitely worth the extra room needed.

Just ordered the Outwell Serenity Double 7.5 cm from Outwell World Direct. Will be using it this weekend at Delamere forest so will post how we get on.

Missed out on a real bargain on eBay though, an Outwell Elegance Double 7.5 cm. Only used once and went for £30. The seller was a bit miserable because I asked if they would mind me arranging a courier to collect the SIM from their home address at a time that would best suit them but they refused. Can't see what difference it makes whether I collected it or a courier did??
Would have paid a fair bit more than £30 too !

Hello there, in six years of camping we've had the lot, air beds, folding beds, mats, even a folding guest bed! I can safely say in MY opinion the mat was a nightmare, absolutely awfull felt like lying on a slab, how people sleep on these is beyond me, but each to there own, we have settled on a double electric air bed with built in pump £40 from aldi and it's fantastic, the kids have outwell camp beds. All the best , gaz

We had a Kampa double camp bed and 2 single Alpkit SIMs, very comfy.

All still for sale if someone is interested...
