A perfect excuse to buy a new "winter" tent . I use a smaller tent for camping in the colder months which I can dry and fold in the house if necessary. It's also easier to heat a smaller space.

You must have a public park near by ! Use it as long as you don't look like your setting up for the week there shouldn't be a problem . On a good day your tent will dry within an hour .
We see it a lot and it obvious it's a trail pitch or drying .
Just don't leave it untended as you may not have a tent for next year .

A park or friends or relatives who have a garden big enough.
Or do you have any site close to home.

How big's you're tent Dawn? You could drape it over your car if you have a garage??

Anyway, it rains in the summer too, so sooner or later you'll have to go home with a wet tent whatever the season.

So just go and worry about the tent when you get home

We put ours very carefully over the line and keep moving it - doesn't take that long .

We've all been very lucky with the weather this year - as Tidburyboy said it does rain in the summer and last year was a wash out - but we went camping at the beginning of September (last year), then in a tin tent in October  and it was absolutely glorious - so you never know.

You'd never go camping if you were worried about the weather!! So I would just go for it!

Sling mine over the banisters and fight with the canvas every 8 hours or so.
