Don't forget bubble mixture and tents do not go well together - the former can affect the latter's effectiveness in repelling water!

Ive camped in March non ehu and agree with all above. But also camping with littlelees in the colder months without ehu is only possible imho if it is dry. A Wet and cold early April camp nearly put my kids off camping for life.
Concur with free-range-children that camping in the cold AND wet is miserable, and I cancelled my trip in Dec 2012 due to rain.
Hopefully, it will be dry over Christmas this year, pretty please, who/whatever is up there!

I am taking my scouts backpacking in late November, its to a local scout site and extra blankets will be provided everything else they carry themselves. It will an eye opener for them but its not impossible. Go to bed warm and its easier to stay warm. Blankets under and over the sleeping bag and go to bed in warm dry clean clothes.
