Anyone manage to wet a line while away camping ? do you deliberately book site's where there's fishing.
I'm slowly filling my virtual brochure with sites like lickhill manor and the surrounding areas(less then a hours drive for us).
My fishing beds have already been confiscated for camping use and my cooking stoves.
Oh no, have also got Lickhill Manor earmarked so I can do lovely things like go on Safari while he who fishes can spend some time doing what he likes best. Although he is very patient and lets me choose where we camp we were at Wrexham earlier in the year and he chose Clays Leisure Park so he could fish first thing on a morning etc.
Haven't been able to combine the two(Camping and fishing) for a while...But fished one of the four Pools at Pillaton Hall campsite Staffordshire two years running while on UKCS meet ups down there...
And a few years ago I had the trip of a lifetime to Anglers Paradise in Devon...No camping but luxury apartments and 16 lakes to fish for a week...Caught all sorts from 9lb Koi to 13-14lb common carp to 5-6lb Golden and green Tench...And had the privilege of holding a 40lb Wels Catfish that my son had a hand in catching on an all nighter with two diehard carpers he befriended....Some PB's were broken on that trip...I can tell you....

------------- Campers of the storm,Into this world are born
We spent a couple of wonderful days at Chester Lakes. Lots of ponds to fish on plus if you like you can have your own island with private fishing which was perfect for my son and his mate.
We don't fish but found this to be a really lovely place. Unfortunately the 'facilities' leave a lot to be desired but we brought our own so no inconvenience there.
This is me (The little thing next to the loo tent)telling my youngest that breakfast was ready lol.
