Bill was a lovely man and he will be very sadly missed by all his friends who camped with him regularly. I met him a couple of years ago through UKCS on his first ever camp/meet and as I was new to it too (and he loved my dog) we struck up a friendship and met again several times at various meets. We both quickly changed from Vango tents to canvas although Bill resisted the 'glamping' route. Thanks to our new experienced camping friends and the fact we both loved camping so much he was soon camping every weekend he could, as was I. He with his local camping pals or solo and me a similar story further south so we regularly swapped stories of new campsites we had discovered.
We also shared a common interest in music and had great times at a music festival the last couple of years where his Guadeloupe was admired by so many which did please him. He was a very sociable caring person and my thoughts are with his lovely family. Such sad news and he will be missed but not forgotten.

Sad, sad news. I never had the honour of meeting Bill, but he gave me some great advice quite a few times. My thoughts go out to his family and friends.
