Now I've got several projects on the go as a result. There was 'Boabbie the Badger' who came to a camping meet a week or two back, there's a partly made squirrel who will come camping at The Red Squirrel campsite eventually, and two stripey blankets, all on the go at the same time!
I chopped up a kingsize duvet cover in a cute patchwork design to make a single duvet cover and pillowcase, flannelette-backed throw and scatter cushion for my moon chair, a little tablecloth, and some bunting - giving me total co-ordination in the soft-furnishing department. Am very pleased with the result - especially as I'd had the kingsize cover for ages, having seen it in the charity shop and fallen for the material, so I was pleased to finally find a use for it!
------------- Always edited for sloppy typing - when I spot it!
I'm currently making the Ron Weasley blanket but I think it's about 80 squares and I'm on about 7, so it's going to take me awhile. I'm going to put fleece on one side when I've finally finished.
Well i have gotten slightly distracted with making cardigans and ponchos (neither of which are finished!) lol and the allotment and garden are just time zappers so really got to get my bum into gear!
Gareth i LOVE your speaker suitcase!!
And i do wish i could sew - i would love an eye mask to hide from the children
Most certainly a blanket.. I have knitted one massive squared blanket and in to my 2nd one.
Keeps me toasty warm
