From experiance camping when it was -6 at night, with a young family.
Sleeping: Good quality SIM's, good quality goose down sleeping bags. You'll never be cold.
Tent: Footprint and carpet, vents closed as much as possible, curtains up, keep the heat in. EHU, fan heater, carfully placed, on thermostat.
You: If your going to be sitting around not being that active then again a good quality goose down jacket will keep you super warm, best insulator weight for weight. You can't improve on 4.4 billion years of evolution. Merino wool makes a fine base layer, great as thermal bottoms and socks also, warm and keeps fresh. Again, you can't improve on natural materials for insualtion for this sort of actvity. Sadly expensive but worth every penny for performance and results.
Put it this way, high altitude climbers use down as insulation against sub zero temps becuase it works.
Cheers,
