A rather grand contingency of the Dead Squirrel gang have just spent a mad weekend at Gimme Shelter (Duloch hamlet) full of shenanigans and utter mayhem!

Here is the pictographical account of said mayhem! -
[Disclaimer - no boabies were harmed in the making of this account!]

Tarp city is under construction....

Construction is overseen by Jel & Krazy!

Jel gazing thoughtfully over the site, wondering how he can skank an extra day off work!

The specially constructed badger hide (looks almost as good as my tarp set ups!)

The site looks very different from the last visit, more so with the lack of leaves on the trees...

The hunt for badgers is underway. This is one of many entrances used by them...

Armchair lays some bait down for the beasties to try and entice them out....

mmmm....what could this be??

My magical tarp expands to accommodate more squirrelers!

Badger watching is thirsty work!...

But finally we are rewarded with a rare siting!

Would you look at the surprise on Andy & sandras faces!

As the rest of the mob come charging down the hill to see!

The group stop to admire some snowdrops....

Before our attention falls to a hiding hare here in the hill....

All together now.. it was hare today, gone tomorrow!

Crossing the bridge was a hoot!

Sarah showing off her prize from the UKCS advent calendar!...

...but in the end it was all too much for the poor soul!

This is a scary place, nothing more to be said!

Our pitches from above..

It wasnt all fun though as The Bowies and Armchair are tasked with the dishwashing!

Armchair adjusting the "badgercam"

Freedom!! A wee ewok ready to do battle with the forces of evil! (well actually 12yr old Isle of Jura!)

Boabie the Badger in full flight. He isnae feart frae ony ewok!

This is my account (true? you decide) of what happened this weekend. Did we spot any "badgers wi tadgers"? I leave you with this pictorial evidence....

Further pics will probably be added from the rest of the muddy crew!

Brilliant account of the weekend Jim . I'm sure there are many more pictures to come.......

I loved the site again, definitely ' quirky', just a pity it became so muddy with comparatively little rain.

Ha ha ha! Brilliant run down of our mad March mayhem indeed!! What a hoot of a weekend. Plenty tears of laughter with a whole load of dafties including myself!!

The star of the weekend has to be the new pet, Boabie the badger. He had many an adventure and was spoken very highly of!! He's a wee belter. Anyway, here are my share of the photies.

Jim making sure everything is as it should be

My pitch was called 'rising sun'. Oh what a delight to wake up three mornings in a row to exactly that!

Jim blasting out a tune on the accordion. I thought he had improved from the last meet but Jelboy is not agreeing!

Then it was time for Jelboy to have a wee go on the moothie. Spot the red tinnies!

The magical flames are almost hypnotic!

Armchair getting to grips with the hefty chopper.

Wee Riddie meets Boabie

Armchair cooked a lovely BBQ for tea on Friday.

Veggie kebabs. Inside the foil pouches were sweet potato and wee tatties. They were yummy.

Motherly love.

Boabie walks the tightrope!

Jim and Mr Bowies decide if the fire needs another few logs bunged on.

Anyone for tea?

In the end it was all too much for wee Boabie!

Thanks everyone for a brilliant weekend. It's certainly been filled with plenty hilarity. Roll on next time.

The winning snap has to be Boabie helping out in Tesco!
