WOOhooo I have booked our 1st weekend away today
a weekend in Llangollen at easter.
Going to be busy as I have also booked 2 camps with my Beaver scouts, and 2 weeks in August with the family....think I have caught the bug.

Good for you! I spent a very pleasant couple of days at Valle Crucis campsite some years ago, watching the moonlight on the Abbey ruins in the evening. Facilities on the camping field were very basic then, don't know what they're like now. I wouldn't go there in busy times, but off-peak it was very peaceful.

With this sunny weather over the last few days, I've been getting a bit twitchy, but I think I'll wait until the evenings are a bit lighter before attempting it! Camping alone, I like to be able to sit outside in the evening if possible, without being eaten alive by midgies, so mid-spring is not too bad. Clocks go forward at the end of March, too! That'll help.

Always edited for sloppy typing - when I spot it!
