A good quality cool box requires no electric. That means that it won't cost you additional nightly EHU charges (if that's the only reason you would go EHU), and may well also give you more options as to where you can pitch on site.

When you browse through the umpteen threads on these forums, take special interest in the comments re "Pre-cooling" the cool box, so it's icy cold in there, before you load up and set off.
Depending on many things, most notably the actual weather/temp and how many times you open the box, the 5 day claim is not an exaggeration. Done properly, they really do impress, imo! (For a full week, you may need one change (or re-freeze) of your ice packs, so a freezer on site is always worth looking out for). If not, one bag of ice cubes from the supermarket should do nicely, by about the Thursday! :-)

We have the Coleman Xtreme, but there are others on the market. Icy-Tek and Igloo, I believe, are two other highly popular non-powered cool boxes.
