We have a campbed with an airbed on top, but we used the 'old fashioned' rubberized airbeds, they fit on the campbed perfectly. Campbed, airbed, blanket, sheet, sleeping bag, second blanket. Very snuggly, very comfy, very warm, plus the added advantage of underbed space for storage.
Sounds like "The Princess and the Pea" to me!
