We have an Outwell Nevada with the front extension. We've only used it a couple of times so far and found that if there is just a little bit of wind the extension lifts and twists. I have looked at getting hurriance straps to put on but they all seem to be for awnings rather than over tents. Can anyone recomend one please that is sutiable for tents?
All open fronted extensions will lift in windy conditions which is why manufacturers recommend you take them down couple this with flexible poles and it will as easy to bend out of shape as it was for you to bend the poles to get them in. Having said that we had a Nevada M with extension but used Delta Ground Anchors on it and it survived some fairly windy conditions
It really wasn't very windy, which is why we were surprised that it lifted so easily. I have ordered some delta pegs so fingers crossed that might help.
Apparently it happens. The normal advice from people on here, is to take down the canopy, otherwise it could damage the main tent, by adding extra strain.
