Hello,
Just returned from 4 days in the New Forest staying in our Gobi Elite 4 tent. Must say what a lovely part of the country Hampshire is, different countryside to what I am used to but very beautiful. Will probably go back in the Autumn for the colours.
Our Gobi 4 tent is ideal for weekends, its a little cosy with tables, chairs and kitchen stand but since we were out most days from 11:00 - 19:00 that did not matter.
Its an ideal tent for weekends/using as a base to explore. Don't think I'd want to use it more for then 4 days as I can see it getting cluttered.

Living in Hampshire and having visited the New Forest on and off for years I don't find it all that scenically exciting. I much prefer Dorset, and of course there is no comparison with Wales or the Lake District both of which are unfortunately too far for me to travel these days.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder Bob. Perhaps you behold it too often.
True it doesn't have the rugged hilly scenes of Wales or the lakes but many areas are stunning in a softer form.
It is true that there are areas of open gorse & heather moorland but living in the green & pleasant hills of Mendip I find that quite attractive too.
Dorset IS beautiful tis true.

That is very true. I used to live on the coast but rarely visited the beach. Now I live inland I like to visit beaches - lol.

I've been lucky enough to spend my childhood in the Lakes and Yorkshire Dales. However, there is nothing like seeing the ponies waiting outside the bank in the New Forest!

I find all the counties in Britain are generally all beautiful in their different way. I know Gloucestershire the best and its lovely but I would like to explorer other places now.
From the rolling hills of Shropshire, to the cold bleak moors of Yorkshire. Each county offers something different.
Until last week I had never been to Hampshire.
