hey guys,
this is my first time posting, so sorry if i make any mistakes!
I am lucky enough to be working at glastonbury for 7 weeks this summer, however, those weeks are to be spent in a tent, eek!
I haven't been camping since i was a girl guide, as i didn't enjoy the experience, but i am sure there are way to make it more enjoyable :-)
My main concern is having a comfortable bed, ill be spending a lot of time on it and i want something reliable, also something fairly high off of the ground, as I will struggle to get up and about off of ground level.
Any suggestions?
many thanks, all answers are appreciated.

If it's for 7 weeks have you considered a fishing bed? They can be expensive but my OH won't sleep on anything else!

I'm assuming your tent will be in some sort of employees area away from the general public but would still recommend ear plugs...

Have you to take your own tent or do they provide one for you....Either way make sure your tent is big enough to fit the fishing bed in...

Another vote for the fishing bed here BTW

Jelboy.

Aside from making sure it will fit in the tent, are there also any transit limitations you need to consider - will you have to carry it or will you be taking your kit by car etc?

That is likely going to be too heavy to carry any sort of distance, never mind a pain when you leave again.

I would go for that Argos linked above plus a 5cm Self Inflating Mat, held on with a fitted sheet, and proper bedding (although it'll be bulky to carry I think for 7 weeks it will be worth it)

If this were me, and my site was secure, my vote would probably go to a fishing bed.

thank you, i was thinking about doing that but with a memory foam mattress topper? do you think that would work, or should i go for mattress topper and self inflating mat?
many thanks,

The Argos bed is 80cm wide. So whatever you put on top try to match it. My XW SIM is 75cm , not sure what mattress toppers come in . Maybe 90cm. Perhaps you could get one cut to fit.

Spent 6 months camping in Southern Africa and slept all that time on a Therm-a-Rest self inflating matress.

Having worked at the likes of V festival and Reading rocks! you are going to be to bloody tired or drunk to care where you sleep. as long as you get some sleep!!!!   You will have a blast I have slept in the bunker bins as well!!!!

Enjoy and pray from dry weather!
