Hi all ,We are new to the camping game and are going on our first camp next week for a few days, we have a Kalahari 10 tent and this morning I had a practice go in putting it up for the first time.
My query is that in the groundsheet there are 2 holes approx 4 inch round which have a tie off on ,they are will be covered by the bedrooms .but worried ants etc might get in .can any body advise me as to what they are, much appreciated. Chris
Didn't notice any such holes in my Kalahari 10 when I put it up over the weekend. Is your's this years green model or the blue one from last year and earlier?
Normally holes in the groundsheet of a tent with a sort of baffle type fabric is so you can peg an inner tent down through the floor. Tents either have buckles to hold the inner tent corners or as I said above you peg through the groundsheet where you have this baffle thing.
Why not ring the shop you got it from and ask them, if the shops any good they will be able to help...

It's the blue kalahari 10 ,I have taken it down now. The hole has a 5 inch peice of nylon,I liar to a coat sleeve attached to it with a pull cord around the top. And is situated under the bedrooms. We bought it off ebay
We had an old Hi Gear tunnel tent years which had these holes. They were for pegging the inner bedrooms, but if your's are covered by the bedrooms that's a bit weird!
