Came across my sons old tent while looking through the shed, must've been there for over 20 years. Put it up last Friday in the garden and let the rain give it a soak, stuck it in the garage saturday before the rains came again then today pitched it out, dried it off then proofed the flysheet, looks good as new.

Don't know if it will ever be used again, but at least I know it's serviceable

That reminds me of my first camping adventure without my parents. My schoolfriend and i bought a little two man ridge tent and driving Mum's Morris 1000 came down to the New Forest. (I lived in Hertfordshire at the time). We pitched the tent, went out for the evening, the fog came down but we managed to find our way back to the site without any detours so feeling pleased with ourselves. Could we find the tent? well it took us over an hour driving round in circles round the site. We hadn't realised more campers had arrived while we were out and our little tent was hidden. We even picked up another lady as we were driving round who had gone to the toilet block but couldn't find her way back!! We still laugh about in now and we are both in our 50's. My friend says she still has the tent in her loft, i must ask her to get it out next time i visit. Sure to bring back old memories, we made a few other trips in it aswell, one to Broadway in Worcester that i remember well. 17

I don't know much about these small tents, but that looks a cracking little tent with the inner tent for a condensation free sleep I would assume. Geoff

What a little cutie! Hope you get some more use out of it. Is there such a thing as a 'retro camping festival', I wonder, where all the ridge tents and frame tents come out to play, to which you could take it?

Always edited for sloppy typing - when I spot it!

...and will probably outlast most of the tents being produced today! Love the old tents - camping was a totally different experience back then I reckon.

Would be a shame if a perfectly usable wee cracker was never used again...There are a few on here who would be fighting each other to add that to their collection if you put that up for sale.....

Jelboy.
