Here's my rough list - accumulated over the past 15 years or so. The total is really quite low, I think.

Erm, I have to add another £680 to the list folowing my
recent purchase...

We may be selling the Cabanon Monaco, though, to offset the cost (or to put money towards roof bars and a roof bag...)

We have just returned to camping after a long break, and have invested in a lot of new equipment and spent lots of money, BUT, our holidays will be camping for the next 10 years or so, so we think we'll save money on holidays in the long run!

Outwell Vermont XLP, Nevada MP, Daxara trailer (2nd hand), various new bits of kit for 7 of us = around £2500 I think!

Money well spent!

When we used a tent, the equipment didn't owe us anything. The tent itself cost less than £60 and we pitched it over 100 times. (now retired in the loft). Cheapish SIMs, bedding from the house. We had about 3 gas stoves, but 2 were given to us. We now have 3 suitcase stoves, the latest was £10 in a sale. Plates and cups bought in a sale, cutlery 2 sets bought by OH about 25 years ago, plus a set of camping pans at the same time.
Oh, we bought a new kettle for the gas, the old one from 1986 developed a leak.
However we did buy a new VW campervan....
All the old stuff is still in use.

I just looked at this and thought oh my god I don't even want to think about this. But after the multitude of tents(about £2k)it isn't too bad. We have multiple complete set ups for long stay, backpacking, weekends and more and I reckon were still under £5k even at modern prices and to be honest we have everything we need. Hang on what am I on about I have just spent £150 on two new chairs because I wanted some hi-backed ones and a new icey-tek cool box for weekends.
Oh I give up, its a work in progress, ask me in another 10 years time

Yep coastal-path it never stops, today's addition was a Gas lighter from Aldi £1.99 with a long bendy tube so you can direct the flame, and it's refillable as well, brilliant bit of kit.

Funny you should say that Francais, hubby mentioned last night about getting another windbreak and yesterday I started my list ready for our trip, remembered my two teens asked for double airbeds (same as ours) for this year so those are on the "stuff to get" list, it never ends indeed.
