We are new to the forum and returning to camping after quite a long break!
We have very nearly finished getting all our gear together, and much of our searching has been helped with the knowledge and experience of you guys and gals on the forum so thanks very much for all the help!
There are 7 of us (2 adults, 5 children), and we are now the proud owners of an Outwell Vermont XLP and Nevada MP tents. We have gone all out and bought a Daxara 157 trailer with ABS lid second hand from Gumtree, and have had numerous trips to Go Outdoors (to our children's delight - they love it there!).
We embark on our first trip next month to Dalby Forest with all of us and both tents, and cant wait.

I have the Daxara 158 (think its the same as yours but with 5cm higher sides) with abs lid. Great trailer........
Dalby Forest is a 50 min drive from me. Its a great place to take kids with bikes but suspect with 5 kids you won't have space for all their bikes!!
If you're staying at Pexton Moor (although I haven't stayed there) I think its right next to the Dalby Forest entrance but be warned I its several miles from the entrance to the Forest centre....and its a £7 charge if you take a car into the forest.
And if using your sat nav to navigate to Dobly forest, use the road signs instead. My sat nav took me along a progressively worsening single lane track which ended at a farm. Few mins later another chap turned up - his sat nav had done the same.
Gari, we are staying at Stoneclose campsite (High Rigg Farm), which is further up from Pexton and closer to the visitor centre.
The good thing about the site we are staying at is they give you a code for the barrier, so free entry into the forest!
You are right about the bikes! Absolutely no chance!!
