Indeed & nor does any other poster, which is why the suggestion of using a gas lamp inside a tent was pretty daft advice to post up.

I agree that most would be well aware of the fire risk.
What is more concerning is that many may not be aware of the carbon monoxide risk.

Never had EHU so we just adapt our lifestyle. We buy perishable food as we need it, generally one meal at a time. Small cartons of milk, a box of single portion UHT milk cartons is also handy for hot drinks.
No need for heating, just ensure you take layers of clothes, including base layers which are excellent at keeping you warm, a decent hat and a fleece snood for keeping the neck warm.
Quite agree, though understand issue if one needs meds kept cold. I tend to freeze milk in small bottles which helps with ice pack situation.
