If the only two-ferrule section you can get is slightly over length, could you shorten the adjacent section?

Hi again, we think if its mud, then, like its been suggested, soaking should help, but, could be small stone? Need some stiff fine wire to push through. Failing that, we got our spare pole kit for same tent, from ebay, ,you need 11mm, with long ferule . Hubby also burns the end of elastic so that its hard and threads through more easily, although you sometimes you get a threader wire with spares kit.Good luck.
