Hi there, Im a longtime lurker of the forum but now am after a bit of advice and wondered if you would help.
I have an Outwell Nevada M, which i have now had a few years and love it, iv added to it and think the world of it. However on my last trip to Shell Island last October it leaked a bit on one side, it was the only rain we had an it just came down heavy for an hour. Anyway the side facing the rain leaked, i checked it for holes or rips and tears and couldn't find anything. So i guess i need to rub in / spray on something to rainproof it again. So what should i use and is there a knack to doing it well?
Im looking forward to another shell island trip in a couple of weeks.
Firstly I would put it up in the garden and give it a good soak with the hose to make sure that you do actually need to waterproof it.
If you do, we used fabsil, in a garden sprayer and then just rubbed in with a new mop, let it dry and hey presto.
Once you start with the waterproofing you will need to do it every couple or so years

cheers for the reply, when you say you put it in a garden sprayer, the tins i have seen of it have tended to be aerosols?
Also am i doing the whole tent or just the area that seems to let some water in.
