Having a dreadful experience with CanvasCamping. Spent €750+ on a tent, inner tent & awning but they forgot the tent! When queried they failed to apologise and failed to promptly answer my emails. When pushed they stated it had been sent but failed to supply a tracking number. After further pushing they admitted that they had sold the tent and were trying to get a replacement. When I asked for the company owner to contact me, they blocked me on facebook.
As per my email I received yesterday an inner tent & wing but no Sibley 400 Ultimate Pro tent. When you quoted you stated the tent was in stock so why was it not sent? I must add that your responses to my pre-order enquiries were a bit quicker than post-sales problems I await your urgent response.

Please advise who owns your company and contact address as I am sure they wish to be aware of the bad service & attitude of the customer service department.
The last tent got sold between you getting your offer and the time you've paid. I could have simply cancelled your order but I made the effort to write to a reseller asking him to sell us one back so we could ship you one. That reseller took his time despite me sending him several emails. He finally told me he has shipped the tent but I have not received a tracking number. So if you still want to contact him after everything I've done for you ... be my guest. Have a great weekend

Why did you not tell me what had happened? Why not apologise? How can I contact your reseller for a tracking number when you have not told me how to contact them?

I have since found it out that it is the owner of the company that has been answering me. Still no tracking number so I do not know if / when I will get a tent. Thankfully, I paid via PayPal so I might have some recourse if the tent isn't delivered.
Pleased to say the tent arrived yesterday and today we put it up - tent, inner tent & awning. Thankfully, the tent is better than the supplying company. It looks good and is very good quality. Anyone thinking of this tent should not be put off - you can buy elsewhere (I believe).
Thanks for the updated story (sometimes people ask for help or start a story to which helpful replies are posted but they then forget to post the outcome). Pleased everything arrived in the end and you are happy with your purchase.
So glad you got your tent in the end and your pleased with it..that was terrible customer service..They will loose lots of new customers due to this and serves them right..I wouldnt buy from them now thats for sure.

Thx for your comments. I have had no further contact from the supplier so he obviously doesn't care whether I am satisfied or not. I left the tent out to let it get rained on (to seal it before I sleep in it). There was an almighty Limousin storm - the tent stayed up & the inside remained dry!
