Hi di hi campers
We have lots of guy ropes on our large family tent and I have yet to work out the best way to tie/gather these up when packing up. So please tell me your best way to do this.
Thanks in advance.
To be fair, although I was impressed, and started to "Hank" all my guylines, I do admit to soon realising there is more to life, and now I just lob 'em over the flattened tent, before rolling it all up.
My soon-to-be-new-tent comes with guylines attached by karabiners, and the guys are removed from the tent and stored separately. (Be aware guys can take longer to dry than the actual tent material!). If I wasn't about to get this new tent, I'd adopt the karabiner method to all my current guys. Seems a good idea to me, and worth the initial effort and outlay for karabiners. Storing anything damp in that tent bag won't bode well!!

I was looking at a tent online (youtube) the other day (sorry can't remember brand) and every guyline had its own little pouch attached to the tent to store the guylines. It was like a small silk pouch and the guy in the video showed the correct way to do it...
I thought thats ok if the guylines are completely dry but a neat idea.

It's definitely not the correct way to tie them up but we just sort of fold them over until they're a short enough length and then we loop them through themselves- that is a really rubbish explanation, sorry- I should have just kept my mouth shut!
