If you are worrying now, wait until you get there. You will have to check the guy lines every 10 minutes to make sure they are taut and no pegs have pulled out. If it rains you will have to sit and watch every seam in case any drips of water are coming through. Check the bedroom pod every half hour to make sure no bugs have entered. Try the tent door zips regularly just in case one of them has jammed and is not working.

I am sure there are loads of other things you will need to worry about but don't worry...after a couple of glasses of red you will forget that you were worrying.

It's all a learning curve! You'll be fine i'm sure. If I start to get stressed I write lists..I usually then forget the list but it helps in the short term!

Whats the worst that could happen? Bob61 Ssshh don't you answer that one!

As part of my preparation for every trip, I recce the camp site and surrounding area for the following:

* Supermarkets
* Petrol station
* Pharmacy
* Vets
* B&Q
* Halfords
* Camping equipment shops

I have a list of their addresses and post codes printed, along with my camping check lists for packing, things to do and to buy.

This way, I do not panic if I find I have left something essential at home by mistake, and can just drive to the relevant shop to get it.

Being a solo camper, I'd like to be as prepared as possible.

Good luck to the OP for the trip ahead.

DK

As long as youre warm and dry and and have water nothing else matters too much. You'll never be too far from a shop or a B&B.
