Hi

I had my Vango tent for a couple of years and have never waterproofed it or anything. This probably sounds really daft but do I need to? We are going away in it next week for the first time this year and it just occured to me!

Many thanks in advance!

If it isn't leaking I wouldn't bother. Save your money for some other more exciting camping goodies

If you think you need to, wait until you're next going on a trip on a dry day. Pitch, then a good spray with Fabsil. It'll dry in an hour or so & should do the trick.

The higher the HH rating the less you should need to do it, really.

If you fabsil you tent on any grass protect the area around, it kills grass, blades and roots! Would make a good weedkiller as they are so week these days!

Like the other posters said only if you need to and you will know if you need to.

I would take a tin of fabsil to be on the safe side as if you find you need to waterproof you can.

Main areas to be looking for are the seams as this is where it will most likely leak.

Also only waterproof on a dry tent not a wet one.

Hope that helps and have a great time.
