Hi just got a tent am a single mum glib by herself. Have just pitched a tent as trail, but was not sure if the straps where tent pegs go in should be be tight or loose when peggin out and can't find any info on this.
I have been told to,open the door as well to make it easier?
Any help appreciated .
I find it's better to peg the tent with the door closed - if you peg it with door open and peg it a bit too tight you'll find the door won't zip closed, or it will but you'll be straining the zips to do it.

If the straps are what I think they are. They should be loose when pegging, then tightened this helps with correct tension, but loosened when taking down.. Pegs should go through pin and ring system.
The door can be open when erecting the tent, as a breeze will help lift it. Doors must be zipped when pegging out.
Hope this what your looking for.

The door is best open when putting up the tent to stop a vacuum forming and allow a good flow of air, but zip up all doors and windows to align all the guys and pegs.

Hi there this may help Outwell birdland pitching
On Outwell tents the pegs at the bottom of the poles go through the webbing loop
Just looked, certainly do put the peg through the loop.
