The first time I went to Llanddwyn it was cloudy and I wasn't impressed with it, but going again on a lovely day certainly revised my opinion and gave me some good photos. I'll definitely make another visit as there are some bits of it I didn't really explore.
We've visited Anglesey maybe three or four times in the last few years, we really must organise a longer stay there as your photos of Llynnon Mill are rather enticing too!
Llynnon Mill is quite interesting, there's a tea room/gift shop there and you can also go in the mill itself. Just to the right and over the fence is a small group of 'mud hut' type dwellings which show how things would have looked centuries ago.
And of course we really should try Petes Burgers!
If you like cheeseburgers then the ones from Petes Burger Bar just have to be the best - one of those with a coffee and you feel like you've had a full meal. If you ever go there tell him I sent you, he'll know who you mean as he reads this blog - in fact he has a page of it from a few years ago stuck in the side window of his van!
For our spring break holiday this year we took my in-laws away with us and stayed at The Beach House in Dinas Dinelle. We went over to anglesey and visited Plas Newydd I was also mesmerised by the whistler painting the dining room. wow you really could gaze at it for hours! Sadly it rained so we missed out on the gardens which was a bit of a shame, but a great reason for us to go back!
If you do go back to Plas Newydd try to go in May if you can, the rhododendron garden in full bloom will be beautiful. I missed out on it this time as the blooms would have been almost over by then.
Ah poor bunny, but at least (if there is such a thing) it had a nice death. And of course a nice resting place. Friends of ours recently put their pet rabbit in the bin when it passed away. Some people have funny ideas about death and mortal remains!
Probably a bit fanciful on my part but I like to think that the little rabbit knew it was loved and cared for, if only for a short while. I did think about burying it in the garden but there have been so many pets buried there over the years that to dig a hole for another one would be risking digging something up again!

Nowhere at the moment as I'm now into a busy period of pet sitting, but I have somewhere in mind so may just take off for a one-nighter sometime soon if I know the weather's going to be good in that area. My bed is still made up in the van so it'll be easy enough to disappear at short notice. Other than August bank holiday my next biggie will hopefully be ten/eleven days in Norfolk in early September
We're off to Bellingham for our main holiday. Planning to visit the Observatory and Beamish (as our pricy treats!) and we'll cycle around Keilder water and hopefully get some nice waterfall pictures. OH fancies a trip over to Cragside as last time we were in the area it was closed. Any tips for good days out in that area?
I've never been to that area of Northumberland so I don't know how far Bellingham is from the coast, but Amble and Alnmouth are nice little places if you can get there. Also plenty of castles in that area - Alnwick, Dunstanburgh, and Bamburgh further north.
Amble has a harbour, attractive marina and little beach, and a market on Sundays, and Warkworth Castle just along the river is worth a visit - your parking fee is refunded when you buy a ticket for the castle. It's ruined but quite fascinating, I got lost in there when I went!
Alnmouth, about five miles north of Amble, is quite a pretty village with a great beach and coloured houses overlooking the river. I went in the Dandelion Cafe and the coffee came in funny little dishwasher-proof cups with no handles, they looked more like finger bowls from a Chinese restaurant!
A cycle round Kielder Water and a waterfall sounds good, I'll look forward to maybe seeing some photos when you get back
