Hi all, Posting for the very first time here. Just wanted to say that this forum must be one of the most up to date and active forum around.

We bought a North Face Trailhead 6 tent and went camping over the Easter weekend in North Devon at Twitchen. Weather was great! It was quite windy during the nights but the tent held up great.

Anyone else out there that has North Face Tents with good or bad experiences that I should be aware of?

BTW, the tent is actually smaller than I anticipated it to be. Should have gotten a bigger tent. Even with the 3 of us (myself, wife and daughter) we seem to fill the whole tent up pretty easily. Need to pack lighter the next time around ... or maybe get a utility tent .

Hi and welcome to the site.

Not had any exerience with North Face Tents - but I know what you mean by needing a bigger tent.  We stated of with what we thought was an OK sized 4 man - until one very wet weekend when we were stuck in a small living area, hubbtm self and two young kinds and decided to get a tent with a large living area.    Decent sized living area makes a huge difference when camping with young children

We've just purchased a Vango Aurora [erson tent and are going to go for our first camp in it later this week in the New Forest.  I keep wondering whether it's the right tent for us!  I liked the look of the North Face especially as it was so much lighter.  We have a 2 man North Face expedition tent which has just been fantastic and going from something that takes only 10 minutes to put up to this huge tent that may take a good hour and lots of arguing is rather daunting!  We are so used to going light that we wanted to buy a fairly small family tent but now you've made me think more about wet weather, kids and the need for space!

north face tents are at the top end of the market so i dont think you will have too much to worry about as long as the tent gets pitched properly, as goes with any other tent really.
