After two visits to High Yedmandale Farm near Scarborough, one last Summer and one at Easter this year, we have decided to broaden our horizons.
Next Tuesday, we are off to Woodhill Park near Cromer for four nights on a serviced pitch.

We've never been to this part of the country before and are really looking forward to visiting Cromer and the surrounding places. We may even venture to Great Yarmouth if the weather is favourable.

Are there any must do/sees in this area?

Norfolk is lovely (even if they are all inbred . Depending on if you're taking children, I would definately go to yarmouth seafront rides on the pier and the other end where there is a large log flume , lots of arcades and souvenir shops, sea-life centre, horse and carriages rides along the fron. £7 each way per carriage if I remember correctly.

Bewilderwood is supposed to be brilliant and definately somewhere we are planning to visit ourselves.

Sheringham beach has won awards.

Hemsby has a lovely sandy beach with sand dunes, also some amusements but a lot more basic than yarmouth.

You can get boats from Blakeney to go watch the seals.

Norwich is good for clothes shopping etc if that's your thing.

There really is something for everyone.

I've been to Bewilderwood, and it is definitely worth a visit. But I would expect it to be VERY busy in the school holidays.

Hunstanton is a nice seaside town as is sheringham and wells next the sea is really nice. burnham market is very nice also, slightly inland, very upmarket place. Sandringham goes without saying if you like stately homes....

Enjoy, it is a lovely area and the people are so friendly and helpful.

Great Yarmouth sounds like everything we don't like as a day out. Sorry!
We tend to like quiet seaside towns like Filey. No Chavs, nice beach, kids not pecking my head to go on all the expensive rides etc. Sheringham and Wells sound lovely though, as does Cromer itself.
Hopefully the weather will be ok. We had to call off our second trip of this year as the weather forecast was really bad. Good job we did too. A storm hit the coast where we would have been stopping!

Thanks for the replies.

John

Woodhill was the first campsite we ever visited in 1999.

Holt is very nice if you fancy a wander round the boutiques and try the folly tea rooms if the sun is out for afternoon tea.

Head out to the west of Cromer to wells next the sea.

Also go see the seals at blakeney

Kelling Heath they are a conservation area and if you have bikes you can ride round to a viewpoint overlooking weybourne windmill which is on all the fudge boxes. They also hire out bikes. Also they have a couple of swimming pools and saunas etc there and you can buy a day pass a bike ride and a trim trail.

Muckleburgh collection tanks/military stuff

Norfolk is lovely
