Hi,
We are off to Littlesea in Weymouth in September. This will be our 3rd trip to a Haven camp site in our camping times. Not for any reason we don't really use the facilities as we have 2 dogs with us but I found them cheaper. This time I have booked a super big electric pitch. All the sites have been fantastic.

We have a Vango Woburn 500 (same size as Icarus) and the awning. Looking at the normal pitch size 21ftx21ft the tent with the Awning would be too big. We are looking going to a site Kiln Park in Wales with friends but they dont have any bigger pitches so I think will look somewhere else. Has anyone else had trouble with pitch sizes at Haven sights?

We have been to a few haven sites and the pitch sizes, vary between all of them, we found The Orchards in Essex to be the biggest and I think it was Devon Cliffs to be very small, always best off calling the site up I found and asking

we went to wild duck and thought we wouldn't fit on the pitch however as it had trees to one side and our set up was 4m bell tent and 2m x 3m drive away awning the warden allowed us to cross our boundary into the tree area slightly which allowed us this:

As others have said, they do vary and to be honest, your set up isn't huge so if you call them with the measurements I'm sure they could fit you in.

Whilst, as stated, pitch size varies from site to site 6.4m (21ft) is the most common and this tends to be the width of the pitch. Given this I have been to many parks that have fitted our Vango tent and canopy (7.25m x 3.9m) length wise - Kiln park only last July. In fact I've always set the unit size to 6.4m on booking and take the chance that if all else fails we can't put up the canopy if there is not enough room; something that has yet to happen (Reighton Sands (no EHU), Blue Dolphin, Golden Sands, Wild Duck, Orchards, Perran Sands, Burnham-on-Sea, Kiln, Lakeland). We use Haven quite a bit as they are very cheap out of school holidays.

Littlesea's pitches two years ago were on the small side if you wanted EHU but not a problem without. I just got our Outwell Nevada M and canopy (6.15 x 3.6) and Car on a EHU pitch. I know our Vango setup would not fit with canopy. So you maybe out of luck with Littlesea but it is an exception rather than a rule I've found.

Oh, and all sizes I've quoted for the tents exclude space for guys!

Hi,
We went to Littlesea last year, we had a vango icarus 800 plus canopy and had no problem with pitch size.
It's a lovely, well kept haven. It's spoilt by some of the odd pitching which being September I think you will avoid. We had a beautiful pitch by a fence but then they pitched little tents the other side of the fence too close! That was only as it got busy though and we were there in the main holidays. The nicest haven we've been to though so sure you will have a lovely time!
