This is just disgusting behaviour however it has been happening at festivals for years, I thinks its getting more common however with the price of popup tents at rock bottom people see them as disposable items. Just such a waste of items that could make a real difference to so many people without.

My son took a big old tent of ours to his first festival and put up several of his friends. On the last day, just as he was packing up, someone set fire to it. He says he only just got out.

He was particularly annoyed because it was the tent of his childhood holidays. I was just glad he was safe!

I don't know if he's wised up to anything but it hasn't happened since.

This was NASS fest at Shepton Mallet, about 4 years ago.
