After having bought a tent, sleeping gear, electric cool box, chairs, a storage thingy, a flash light, cooking gear, a pocket knife and loads of other stuff I unfortunately have to cancel our first camping trip and store all the stuff for next spring.
In another thread I already mentioned my gf having a hernia and we’ve come to the conclusion that she basically can’t travel in her condition. The pain is just too much. Last Friday they gave her an injection in her back against the pain which should last several weeks – several months, but it didn’t work. Thursday is our next appointment with the surgeon and I’m pretty sure we’ll decide to go for an operation and be done with it. The surgery can already take place within two-three weeks, but it will take another 6 weeks before she’s even allowed to sit in a car again.
So that’s bye bye holidays. Seems I will have to wait until spring before I can add a review of the Trout Lake to this forum.
Sorry to hear your gf is not well. Don't worry about the camping trip, it just gives you more time to research campsites and plan a special trip next year.
Sorry to hear your gf has to go through that and is in pain. Health comes first. Once they have sorted it you can look forward to all of next years trips :) sending her well wishes!
Even though its disappointing the most important thing is for your gf to get herself fit and well, at least you have all your gear and plenty of time to research for next year when hopefully you will also benefit from improved weather.
Agreed. Even though I've been planning this trip for some time I can't be bothered. There are bigger things to worry about. We'll surely go next spring and that's going to be awesome.
