Hey!

Well what a weekend! We had agreed with a seller to buy a caddy 430 trailer. We gave my friend some money to rent his van from hubbys work and went to collect next day, only to be told when we got there he had sold it on ebay for more money (which he said he had forgot he had put it on ebay!!) I felt very upset!! So much for a gentlemans handsake when doing business, thats how we were brought up! He was very rude. So we had lost money and were let down!

At 8pm last night on a local forum my hubby found a caddy 530 (slightly bigger than the 430 model) with high sides, a wooden made to fit lid and cover for £100. We phoned up and it was still available!!! So at 8:30pm drove and collected from a lovely man who basically agreed the other guy was a *insert naughty word*!

So anyway, we now have a good quality trailer and I phoned vauxhall who did a tech spec check and made sure our tiny old car can pull it and its fine :)

So now our dogs can come with us camping as alot of things can go in the trailer! Also room in the car for my little 8yr old niece to come too :)

Sorry to probably bore you with this thread but wanted to share some good news :) our dogs were the first to try the trailer out! And then wanted to show you themselves in the boot of the car! Hehehe

Can I take this toy camping mum?! Pretty please!!!

Sorry for a long post but hope the cute dogs made it worth while looking at :)

Hope you all had a lovely weekend, Danielle xxxxxx

So pleased you found a trailer after being let down so badly. Great stuff. I felt positive you would after my own experience.

The dogs will love camping and you no longer have to worry about a doggy sitter. 17

You better start booking sites as the dogs can't wait.

Great now you also need to add to that 1 suit case stove !!

Enjoy.

Love the pictures of the dogs and well done with the trailer.... better than the one you missed!
Make sure the spare wheel is ok and make sure your car jack will fit under and lift the trailer. We had to carry a block of wood to sit the jack on!

Don't forget to file down the sharp corners and wrap the bungies twice round the buttons for more security.

Glad the trailer saga worked out well for you in the end. Looks very nice.

I have a Westie too, very handy sized dog to go camping with Love your Labs' "give us treats" faces

Love your dogs - those "pretty please" eyes would do it for me - he could take anything he wanted camping!

Oh yes - and well done with the trailer!

Love this thread, thanks for posting, the looks on the dogs faces say it all!

Our rescue dog loves his camping, he has just come back from a fantastic almost three weeks in the Western Highlands, with walks galore, trips out on the boat, and all the fresh mackerel he could eat!

Looks a great trailer for the money, too

Jane.
