hi, we had a caravan but gone back to tenting, all the years we had our van we found it hard to talk to people ,they just was not polite, but when i went camping with my daughter people did talk to us and was very friendly, so i think tenting is better then caravaning, in that respect,
Don't get me wrong I enjoy a good chinwag just as much as anybody and always bid a cheery good morning to people who's paths I cross but it gets a bit tiresome to say hello to the same persons several times a day whenever I see them.
The friendliest campers must be found in Pocklington, we have been to Lakeside near Bielby, Pocklington a few times this year and everyone was chatty and sociable, can highly recommend a visit.
Funny, I recently posted on FB about the friendlyness and helpfulness of fellow campers to my two lads and myself. I've always been offered help and people are very friendly.
