Have got the refund for our awful Filey 6 Air and wanting to buy a replacement before the season is finished! Anyone know of a dealer with a new Outwell Montana 5P available?
Thought we had "cracked it" we found a 5P online from Millets, immediately ordered it and waited, and waited, and waited.....it arrived yesterday without the poles!
Spoke to Millets who have apologised and offered a refund, but having now wasted over a week the only other one we had seen is sold.
Is it possible to get spare pole sets for Outwell tents?, do they have a UK distributor with a phone number?
Problem solved. What about a front awning or have you already ordered one or maybe you don't want/need one. Always difficult to get them if you leave it a few more months. Just a thought as World of Camping have them showing in stock, haven't researched further but i'm sure you will if you are interested.
Thanks for the support but I spoke too soon! the poles sent out by Millets are incorrect, only two steel hoops and one set of GRP poles...arghh!!!!!!!!!
We want to buy an awning but won't do it until Millets have sorted this out, and at this slow progress the awnings will be out of stock as well.
From current experience I will not be recommending Millets to my friends!
You are of course aware that Outwells Premium Collection Tents, which includes the Montanas, will be Grey for next year so you will need to buy any Green accessories ASAP
Blimey sorry to hear about the hassle you have had with millets its so frustrating and annoying when things go like that , hope you eventually get what you want , they should compensate you in some way for the stress that THEY have caused you .
A quick update...Millets have proven to be completely unable to resolve the missing poles problem, and I am now getting excuses such as "the person you need is with another customer", or " he's at lunch", or "he's on a break" or "he will call you back (it never happens)" or todays latest "he's gone home sick!"
Millets have blamed Outwells UK for not responding to their request for poles, and are trying to get information from Outwells Europe! Not sure who to believe any more..
Needless to say from my experience...DO NOT BUY FROM MILLETS, and I am beginning to think if you have a problem with an Outwell product you are going to have very little support from Outwell UK as well (but maybe this is the dealer rather than the importer!).
End may be in sight...Outwell Denmark have dispatched a set of poles today, as soon as they have arrived a quick erect of the tent and check over, then buy an awning!

How did you get hold of Outwell and get them to reply? They NEVER answer any emails or facebook or twitter or any correspondence. Worse company i have ever dealt with in direct contact.
The poles arrived today and we have erected the tent, seems fine and the awning is ordered. Re Outwell.....we never found a contact for the UK operation,but have communicated with both Germany and Denmark via e-mail/Facebook and the dealer (Millets). We have had responses from Outwell although they keep reiterating that communications should go through your dealer!
However as our complaints to Millets included the chairman of their holding company JD Fashion and Sports PLC, the general "noise" raised may have had an effect!
Fingers crossed that the awning doesn't get lost in transit!
