Man alive!! There is so much to think about!

I am, of course, talking about equipment. Is there a definitive list of stuff that I need to remember for my first trip?! I guess when I've unpacked and realise i've forgotten a washing up bowl or something I will know but i'd rather get as much remembered for my 'test camp' as possible!

Arrgghh!! It's quite intimidating really but i'm not giving up!

Any and all advice is useful. I know NOTHING!!!

Quite a basic equipment list compared to what I take and I've seen others take so much more lol

One bit of equipment on that list I'd say please don't take is the newspaper for starting a campfire... Please start them with firefighters as burnt newspaper can float off and if still hot can burn others or your tent...also don't put cardboard on a campfire.

I used to go around the kitchen putting things I'd normally use in a box to take. I always forgot things. As I went camping more I bought separate things for camping and I use those plastic drawers now and what's in there is just camping so it's garage to car/car to garage when back.

Thanks all, most useful. Going to try to get 2 short trips done before the weather turns, that should tee me and my 7 year old monster up nicely for next spring!
