After all the quotes and comments ref Palamos 6 and Obelink tents in general regarding quality of materials and zips, zigs and sigs or whatever coupled with the weight i am leaning more to the Cabanon Barbados being over 10kgs lighter,i know it is smaller but the Palamos is 50kgs or so dry and is there not some issue with the ground sheet and end panel not attaching together??
So what i really want to know is were to look for discounted deals on the Barbados??
Found a link stating 40% off on the UK Cabanon site but the link is either out of date or dead.

The ground sheet on the Palamos doesn't attach to the front panel when it is in the 'front' position, but normally it does zip up all the way round (when the front panel is in the back position, leaving an open porch). Bear in mind that the Palamos 6 is bigger than the Barbados even with the front panel set back and zipped on. I hope that makes sense!
Good luck finding a deal on the Barbados. I did consider getting one, but couldn't justify the cost. Lovely tents, though.
Have you seen the esvo Bedouin 340? Very good option.
I was looking at the Barbados originally as I have a Montana which is a fab tent but looked at the esvo and was sold - I have not been disappointed :-)
