I was hoping that someone could help with sharing there experience with warranty repairs from Vango.
I have bought a Vango Maritsa 700 as a Christmas present to myself but only have managed to get this used once this year due to work commitments. The first time we used the tent it lashed down with rain and a couple of leaks were noticed.
I dropped it off at the store it was purchased from and was told it should take less then 14 days to carry out the repairs but this can take upto 28 days.
tomorrow will be week number six that my tent has been away for repair!
I love the tent and do not want a refund but how long does it take to repair a tent.
Has any body got experience of dealing with repairs from Vango?
Blitz them with e-mails and phone calls....Let them know in no uncertain terms that 6 weeks is too long and if it's not back fully repaired you want an replacement unit.

Every day is a gift..That's why it's called the present.
Thank you for your replies, baddab when did you send your tent away for repair.
Thanks Ian and Graham for the advice, I really want my tent back and not a replacement as this has now been discontinued and I really like the layout of the tent. I will be heart broken if it doesn't come back but enough is enough and time to start complaining about this situation.
Surely this cannot be a normal amount of time to repair a few small issues.
It was last year but because it was minor I left it to the end of the season probably about this time. I had some frayed stitching on two of the pegging points. The replaced the whole fly sheet which I thought was good for a tent that only had 6 weeks warranty left.
Now if only Out well were like that but that's another story.
Cheers

I'm so sorry to hear you are having problems with Vango. I emailed them about my tent which wasn't under warranty and had been a display job but I hadn't used it much due to a propensity of canvas and other tents and the zip had come apart but I loved my tent. They replied promptly and asked me to send it with a receipt. This took me some time to find and another age to sort out packaging but I was in regular contact by email.
I finally posted the tent off to Scotland and within 4 days it was returned to me with a replacement much sturdier zip and velcro bits. Only cost to me was the postage.
Good luck
I had a problem with a Vango tent and they sent word a new replacement was being sent to the camping shop for me, instead of repairing it. Took about 4 weeks in all for replacement. I thought this was good service from Vango.
